Heads22
QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) BTW, I like a Pres or Veep that fishes and hunts. Tell me he actually cleaned his catch and I'd be even happier. I was thinking how sad it is that he travels with an ambulance. In a couple years, the ambulance goes away, as if he doesn't matter anymore. Well, they were penraised quail if it means anything....
Texsox
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) Well, they were penraised quail if it means anything.... That sucks. So basically it's walk around, kick the damn thing to make it fly, and shoot it. Not my favorite hunting style. I did pheasants that way at a hunt farm, boring. I wonder if that is more pc than shooting wild birds?
BigSqwert
QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) I wonder if that is more pc than shooting wild birds? I would think it's the opposite. Why not just shoot some fish in a barrel while you're at it?
FlaSoxxJim
Jon Stewart: "I'm joined now by our own vice-presidential firearms mishap analyst, Rob Corddry. Rob, obviously a very unfortunate situation. How is the vice president handling it? Rob Corddry: "Jon, tonight the vice president is standing by his decision to shoot Harry Wittington. According to the best intelligence available, there were quail hidden in the brush. Everyone believed at the time there were quail in the brush. "And while the quail turned out to be a 78-year-old man, even knowing that today, Mr. Cheney insists he still would have shot Mr. Whittington in the face. He believes the world is a better place for his spreading buckshot throughout the entire region of Mr. Whittington's face." Jon Stewart: "But why, Rob? If he had known Mr. Whittington was not a bird, why would he still have shot him?" Rob Corddry: "Jon, in a post-9-11 world, the American people expect their leaders to be decisive. To not have shot his friend in the face would have sent a message to the quail that America is weak." Jon Stewart: "That's horrible." Rob Corddry: "Look, the mere fact that we're even talking about how the vice president drives up with his rich friends in cars to shoot farm-raised wingless quail-tards is letting the quail know 'how' we're hunting them. I'm sure right now those birds are laughing at us in that little 'covey' of theirs. Jon Stewart: "I'm not sure birds can laugh, Rob." Rob Corddry: "Well, whatever it is they do ... coo .. they're cooing at us right now, Jon, because here we are talking openly about our plans to hunt them. Jig is up. Quails one, America zero. Jon Stewart: "Okay, well, on a purely human level, is the vice president at least sorry?" Rob Corddry: "Jon, what difference does it make? The bullets are already in this man's face. Let's move forward across party lines as a people ... to get him some sort of mask."

I can't believe Doctors missed some shot in his heart, I'd have thought x-rays would have picked that up pretty easily. they said in the article it migrated. it probably got caught in the bloodstream eventually flowed to, and lodged in, the heart causing the attack if I am understanding it right. Texsox
QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) What? No more joke quotes? :headshake Still trolling for bad behavior? When a minor accident becomes life threatening, common decency dictates it isn't a laughing matter anymore. I find it rather insulting that some people here keep accusing people, even before anything happens, of poor behavior. :headshake It seems like nothing would make you happier than some stupid comment from a liberal. That is sad.

Well it seemed minor to most of the talk show hosts, I didn't notice any politicians making jokes. Look at all the crap out there and the press corps yesterday and today. They didn't disappoint. Take your soapbox somewhere else on this one, because they have attacked at will on this. Please post a link that any politician tried to blame the Bush administration? Yes there were jokes, just like there have been jokes about Clinton and Monica's blue dress, and Ted Kennedy drinking, It seems that Ted Kenedy drinking, which by all reasonable accounts led to someone's death can be a matter of joking. As I see it Chaney accidentaly shoots someone in a hunting accident. Some of the first posts were taking shots at liberals for things they might say. In other words the conservatives around here have been using this accident to rip on liberals, before anything was even said. That's ok with you?
