Wanne Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 (edited) Albert Belle arrested for stalking The Arizona Republic Feb. 16, 2006 06:18 PM Scottsdale police arrested former baseball star Albert Belle on Thursday on suspicion of stalking an ex-girlfriend. Belle, who lives in Scottsdale, was taken into police custody at 10 a.m. and charged with felony stalking/harassment, police said. He was booked at Maricopa County 4th Avenue Jail. Stalking is a Class 3 felony in Arizona. Scottsdale detectives requested that Belle be held on bond because of the nature of a series of threats he made toward his 38-year-old ex-girlfriend, police said. The victim - also a Scottsdale resident - filed a report with Scottsdale police in January, accusing Belle of stalking. "We found out that there was lot going on, and that at some point, at least once, he threatened to kill the victim," said Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark. Geez-us Albert...get a friggin hobby or something. At least his police mug wasn't as bad as Glen Campbell's. That was classic!
