Balta1701
Thank God. The world will be made a much safer place. We'll never have to worry about NYPD Blue ever being able to rebroadcast the episode where they say "s*** happens". U.S. communications regulators plan to issue decisions soon in about 40 cases involving complaints against broadcasters for violating federal decency limits, a source close to the matter said on Wednesday. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission is considering a proposal to rule that the word "s***" is profane and violates decency limits in certain contexts, the source said, declining further identification. The agency has already declared the word "f***" off-limits in most cases.

We'll never have to worry about NYPD Blue ever being able to rebroadcast the episode where they say "s*** happens". You wanna talk about indecency, they should pass some regulation making sure they never replay any NYPD Blue episodes where Dennis Franz shows any part of his fat pasty naked arse on TV. :puke

It's all about not saying things. You can think it, hint at it and even show it, just don't say it. :headshake It's not just an FCC problem either. southsider2k5
s*** used to be one of the seven words you couldn't say on radio or TV, but that kinda went by the wayside. Interesting to see they are talking about bringing it back.

santo=dorf
Hopefully Comedy Central will run that one episode of South Park for 5 hours straight before the ban goes into effect.

Happily, at least for now, this wouldn't affect Cable...but there have been folks in Congress clamoring to give the FCC power to regulate Cable's content also. Its ridiculous. If they start doing this, they'll need to censor books, magazines, and a million other things. This isn't the middle east. This FCC is out of control.
