cwsox
It would seem Joe Borchard just hit a tremendous home run - never heard Ed and John in such awe of a shot
Chisoxfn
Ya it was hammered. Was up 3-0, then fouled off a few pitches and bam. Dead center, probably 460 feet plus.

Chisoxfn
Maggs just makes a real good catch following a nice play by Joe Crede; two outs now. Daubach makes a good play down the line to end the inning. Into the fourth, tied at 1. Also, Borchard ended the no hitter
witesoxfan
Guess who leads the team in average? And I thought he said he wasn't ready.

Chisoxfn
Carlos Rips a single to start things off. He's hitting in the two hole for those who don't know it. Rios is in the 3 hole as the Designated Hitter. Daubach is at first, so Konerko and Thomas aren't playing.
Chisoxfn
Rios does his best DH impression by hitting into a double play. I never noticed it, but his bat is like twice the size of him.

witesoxfan
Guess who leads the team in average? I am trying to do the math and still don't see that -- ???? Joe Borchard - .286 D'Angelo Jimenez - .285 Magglio Ordonez - .278 I think that's as far as I need to go. Then again, when considering the amount of games, you could also include Tony G, and I'm sure he;s hitting .320 or .330.
cwsox
damn, runners at 2nd and 3rd,m no one out, bottom of the 5th, and JM is out there arguing with the ump about the call at 2nd -

Also....you are correct. Tony G is hitting .264. I just made a guess and figured he was hitting better then that.

Chisoxfn
They were safe at 2nd and 3rd. The play at the plate was close but they were also safe. Miguel Olivo then turend around to argue letting the runner go to 3rd. This leads to the 3rd run, which wouldn't of scored on the other hand, to come in to score. In all honesty, Sox should of gotten out of that without a run. Jimenez did a hell of a job, and I still don't know how they weren't able to make the tag. Jimenez should of gloved it, but he kept the ball in front of him, made a solid throw, and damn. Jimenez is due up now.
