2006 MLB Catch-All Thread

Ben Sheets is expected to throw 50 pitches in a AA game.

John Lackey agreed to a $13.25 million extension with the Halos.

Soloman Torres signed a 2 year, $6.5 mil extension with the Pirates with an option for a 3rd year.

Minnesota is still debating a new stadium.

The City of San Francisco seemingly wants some tax or income related info from the Giants that the Giants don't want to give up.

And, in classic MLB style...WADA still says they didn't conduct testing before the WBC, and they have no idea if baseball complied with the WADA testing codes.

I was watching some of the Sox highlights from opening day on ESPN and when a shot of Iguchi came up, they said:  "lookin' at Iguchi it's about that time',  :lolhitting

 :notworthy

Who said that? Awesomeness, Still Fly is one of the great stupid songs of all time (if that makes sense).

Well, that was a pleasant turn of events.  3-1 Toronto after a BOMB by B. Molina.

It never hurts to have a division team lose to an out of division team. No matter what time in the year.

GO JAYS :)

Johan had a "Slow" start last year too...in the sense that he occasionally gave up more than 3 runs a game for the first 2 months of the season. I think he gave up like 4 runs on opening day last year or something.

Nice catch by Stewart.

Adam Eaton has had his surgery, he may be down for 4 months.

Bobby Crosby missed last night's game with the Yankees due to a finger injury, but it shoudlnt' sideline him for too long.

Sabathia is probably out 3-5 weeks, just like he was last year to start the season. You know...there is something to be said for getting proper conditioning before Spring Training.

The average salary in 2006 has gone up 9%, and the top 3 paid players are all, get this...Yankees.
