Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) The point being, Jordan said some people are in the kenny can't do no wrong camp because of what he did this year, it goes both ways, some people are fans of the team just cause of Frank and have him in the can't do no wrong camp as well. It's a two way street. You would have to be a complete fool to think Frank isn't in some ways at fault, or to think Frank has been a saint his whole career. I realize the kinda guy we're dealing with. He's very emotional and says stupid s*** sometimes. That's just the way he is. But to act like Kenny is some kinda hero because of what he said yesterday is pathetic.

aboz56
QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) I'm not mad at all. Confused. I don't ever expect to see or hear fellow fans such and you two acting anything but respectful towards what someone has done regardless of the bulls***. The guy was the Sox for 13 years. He should be thanked for that and that alone. I said he was the greatest ever, what more do you want. Sorry that I don't let him get away with anything he wants to say. His comment that WHarris1 just put about not throwing out the first ball is so childish its not even funny. Maybe its Frank that doesn't appreciate what the White Sox did for HIM. Some people don't just put on blinders and let people say whatever they want to say.

greasywheels121
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) Since anyone implied that you guys thought Frank was innocent.... Look below Willie. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) There is no sense arguing with "Frank Nation." They are all too blinded by what he did during his MVP seasons. Wait, that was a long ass time ago.
whitesoxin'
Damn, unfortunately I have to go to work now. Frank, you are the man, always have been and always will be. Everyone says things that make them look like an ass, Frank's are just put in the public's eye. Move on everyone, we have a championship to defend!!! White Sox Josh
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) Exactly, how can an interview that is printed verbatim be misquoted. It probably wasn't verbatim. I don't doubt he said that stuff however he probably said more that was cut out. For example here is what he could of said: He left me a message a week after all that blew up in Chicago. I never got back because it's a done deal now. What's he going to tell me now, a week later, after the whole city has made their point? I've got a lot of respect for Jerry Reinsdorf, I do. He has been great to me and I have no animosity for with him. But I really thought, the relationship we had over the last 16 years, he would have picked up the phone to say, "Big guy, we're moving forward. We're going somewhere different. We don't know your situation or what's going to happen." I can live with that. I really can.

That being said sometimes a person can only take so much, you can tell by watching his interview that this was built up for a long, long time, he just exploded all at once. I'm sure he'll regret later some things he said but sometimes when frusteration has been built up for so long you can't help what you say. I know someone is going to say he shouldn't have done it in the public, etc, etc, and I agree but there's a point and time where you just can't take s*** anymore. Pants Rowland
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) Phil Arvia, the last guy who Frank said misquoted or twisted his comments, has the entire interview on tape. He says he did not misquote him. Considering its been 3 or 4 stories with the same theme, if Frank is constantly getting misquoted, why would he continue to grant interviews? Maybe Frank is just a poor communicator. Either that or he is so self-absorbed and close-minded that he does realize that you do not need to twist or trim his quotes to make him look like a jackass. Frank puts on the smile and speaks his mind thinking he is totally justified. After there is a backlash against what he says, he feels he is misquoted. I do not buy it. Whether or not he is the greatest hitter in WS history can be debated. The fact that he is also the biggest whiner in WS history can not be debated. I just wish KW would not engage him. The best way to kill this monster is to ignore it until it goes away.

jackie hayes
WOW is that a load of bulls***. I root for the team on the field. And bringing back Frank would have been the wrong thing to do for the Sox. That doesn't mean I have to root for the GM when he's being a complete asshole and absurdly overreacting. Stop f***ing questioning if those who disagree with you are fans of the White Sox. It's a sad f***ing argument.
