IlliniKrush
Did anyone else watch this? I just watched the replay at 1130. I tought it was pretty unique, and pretty well done. It was fun to watch something "different" from those "the season" things. Pretty interesting. I especially like Pitino when he was asked about where Telfair could go in the draft and the chance he does go - he said something like "in my opinion, we better start recruiting"

DBAHO
Too bad he ain't doin jack in the NBA. He's already in Nate's doghouse (hence things must be bad if Steve Blake is startin ahead of ya).

As for the show, I agree with everybody else in this thread, I enjoyed it and found the fact it comes from a new angle to be refreshing. Timoperezrulez
He only averages 9 points and 2 assists per game for Portland this year...
aboz56
Why he even ever committed to Louisville I do not know. He was never going to go in the first place. Good article about it here, I think I know the author :-) http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d.../602250463/1005

You gotta know a kid has the NBA coming up when he is driving around new cars and assembling his collection of bling.

Also, I found it interesting that the players had to walk or take the train to games because the school wouldnt give them a bus.
aboz56
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) In the documentary it looked like he was going to, until he started blowing up his senior year. Also, I found it interesting that the players had to walk or take the train to games because the school wouldnt give them a bus. I didn't get the impression he was going to. What was funny were his blatant lies when he was here in town for the game in Louisville Gardens. They asked him if he was coming and he said, "as long as I'm alive." I don't blame the kid for going pro, but that game was well into his senior year and you know he'd been talking to Adidas by that point. I didn't see the whole show, but it was interesting.
IlliniKrush
I read some of those comments. They weren't really ripping the show, they were ripping him, his teammates, coaches, and society and how sports work in general. Kinda apples and oranges.
