Women's brackets

Recommended Posts

I know not many care about the women's game, but I have to get a rant off my chest. UNC's women's team, the clear #1 team in the nation, gets Tennessee put in as the #2 seed, Rutgers as the #3 seed, Purdue as the #4 seed, and UNC would play Vanderbilt ON VANDY'S HOME FLOOR in the 2nd round. As much hell as the men's bracket creators get, the women's game is 10x worse. UNC is the clear number 1, and gets one of the hardest brackets in history, starting out in Tennessee, while the Duke women get the #1 seed as a cakewalk in nearby Norfolk, VA. There has to be an investigation.

You guys wanna hear a joke? Women's basketball.

I'm not the biggest fan of it for the most part, but the top 10 teams in terms of talent are good enough so that it's definitely entertaining to watch. The day will come along where the women are all at that level though, and at that point I'll watch a lot more. With that said, there are better places to hate on women's hoops than a discussion thread about it.

Anyways....the interesting thing was that the 2nd dunk by Candace Parker today was just on a basic backdoor cut play out of the half court offense, which I don't think I've ever seen a woman do before. That's kinda the next step for women dunking it, we've seen the whole breakaway dunk thing, but to be able to just do it out of a halfcourt set is impressive.

I'm sorry but I just cannot watch that style of basketball after seeing the incredible games being played thus far in the Men's tourney. Both my sister's played basketball into high school and I still could barely watch it when they were playing.

Don't get me wrong either, I can't watch women's basketball outside of UNC playing. They play a very similar style to last years UNC men's team, loaded with talent, brilliant PG, and fastbreaking everywhere. That and I actually LOVE watching Ivory Latta play, she's got game, man or woman.

Exactly, top 10 women's teams are like that, fun to watch. Outside of that, I can't watch it either to be honest lol. One day women will all be that good though and many will be able to dunk and such, and if I'm still alive, then I'll watch more.
