Princess Dye
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) Did he forget how to hit? maybe he wants to be in WBC after all. usually if i make a decision not to do something, i do everything within my power to 1) greatly regret it 2) completely fail at whatever i decided to do instead. jphat007
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) Did he forget how to hit? He's looked much, much better since going back to his regular approach. Had a couple hard hit balls lately that have kept his hits off the board. Looks much better though. Kalapse
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) I think Ross makes the team. Didn't say he wouldn't make the team. He could vary well make it but he really doesn't have much value to the Sox.

NorthSideSox72
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) Gload with a nice double into left center scores 2. 3-2 SOX 2-2 now? Glad to see he came back from his encounter with the wall yesterday.

Which is odd because he's usually fairly accurate, on that play he just got facy and it trailed on him.

His consistency with the bat makes him a better alternative than Borch, as far as I am concerned.

He swings at the 1st pitch every damn time he's up. That's not good for a pinch hitter, he could be somewhat useful off the bench strickly as a pinch hitter but I just don't think the Sox want a guy on the bench that forces you to use 2 guys everytime you send him to the plate. NorthSideSox72
I will say I'd happily give up Borch AND Gload if it meant getting a decent middle reliever.

BMAC really looks rushed in his windup today. He looked real tired that inning. The AB to torrero he could find the release point on the fastball. But it was a change, and it looked like a good one, that he crushed.

I'd be concerned about that if he was striking out a lot. His K/BB ratio is about 2/1, Borch's almost 4/1 (at ML level for both).

Guest JimH
Just got back in, don't know if anyone was listening on the radio, Farmer brought up two interesting scenarios. Now if you listen to White Sox announcers (Farmer and Harrelson) you will often gain clues on who the Sox have on their radar. He (Farmer) made a point of mentioning this Luis Terrero guy, the fact he's out of options and can play all three OF positions. He also mentioned Luis Vizcaino is a perfect fit in the White Sox bullpen, how comfortable he was here and wondered aloud about how well he fits with the D-backs. Hmmm ...
