juddling
It will be interesting to see if/when this gets made.... LOS ANGELES (AP)—"Welcome Back Kotter" is being made into a movie, with Ice Cube taking over for Gabe Kaplan in the starring role. Cube tells "Variety" that he's a big fan of the original show. Kaplan shares the rights to the series and he's been resisting a movie version for years. But he says he likes the way this project is shaping up. FlaSoxxJim
Sounds like Gabe needs the cash. And if John Leguizamo isn't tapped to play Juan Epstein then there's gonna be hell to pay.

Though that would have been perfect casting a number of years ago. Maybe Ice Cube could get together with Cedric the Entertainer for some ideas since the Honeymooners did so well

Casting geriatric high-schoolers is a Welcome Back Kotter tradition.

Casting geriatric high-schoolers is a Welcome Back Kotter tradition. Actually Travolta was only 24 when WBK started. Then again...considering the NY school system he might have been a bit young for the part........ Edited March 14, 2006 by juddling

DABearSoX
What the hell has happened to the movie industry. There is so much crap coming out, but people are still lapping it up. I mean come one "When a Stranger Calls" are you joking me, i heard that story around a camp fire when I was 4 and it wasnt scary then. On the other hand I did just watch Hustle and Flow last night. Really good movie somewhat of the same premise as 8 mile, but written about 10 times better, and I don't even like rap.
Heads22
I'll raise ya You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life. There's a time you got to go and show You're growin' now you know about The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life. When the world never seems to be livin up to your dreams And suddenly you're finding out the Facts of Life are all about you, you. It takes a lot to get 'em right When you're learning the Facts of Life. (learning the Facts of Life) Learning the Facts of Life (learning the Facts of Life) Learning the Facts of Life. FlaSoxxJim
Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum, What might be right for you, may not be right for some. A man is born, he's a man of means. Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans. But they got, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. Everybody's got a special kind of story Everybody finds a way to shine, It don't matter that you got not alot So what? They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine. And together we'll be fine.... 'Cause it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. Yes it does. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world. He’s there just to take good care of me, Like he’s one of the family. Charles in Charge Of our days and our nights Charles in Charge Of our wrongs and our rights And I sing, I want, I want Charles in Charge of me.
