whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 11:09 AM) ISU's whole coaching staff just announced as fired. Bring me Mike. Would he come to ISU? I would assume there is a significant chance the NCAA takes action against ISU because of this.

NorthSideSox72
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 11:09 AM) ISU's whole coaching staff just announced as fired. Bring me Mike. Not surprised. I think I can say, without being too big a homer, that Iowa State has historically been pretty clean as Division I programs go. They were at one time the only B12 team that didn't take Prop 47 players. They showed Frat-Party boy the door in a hurry. I hope this turns out to be no biggie. Iowa State is in danger of having the NCAA come down hard on them, since they aren't some legendary basketball program.

Unfortunately, it is starting to look that way.
Heads22
It's tough telling where this will go. I think the immediate gutting of the men's basketball program as well as Pollard speaking out immediately helps out.

Heads22
I don't believe Iowa State got anything out of this....seems like schools like Iona, Louisiana Tech and Tennessee State have more questions to answer.

Those "sources" suck. McDermott it is. Iowa State will announce Northern Iowa's Greg McDermott as its next men's basketball coach at a news conference later today, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com Tuesday morning. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2378077 IMO...he is a great hire for Iowa State.
