Dick Allen
Ray Meyer died today at the age of 92. He was a very nice man who I had the opportunity to sit next to at the Big Ten Tournament last year, and truly a legend in college basketball. Brian
Went to his basketball camp one summer. Way up in the woods and not the greatest experience but he was hilarious and great to listen to.
BigSqwert
I'm glad they were able to dedicate the homecourt in his name while he was still with us. A class act.
SleepyWhiteSox
A sad, sad day for DePaul, Chicago, and basketball...
Mplssoxfan
27 years to the day after the West Regional Final in Provo, Utah. DePaul 95, UCLA 91 Thus becoming one member of the unforgettable Final Four that year. One question, though, looking back on it. Why was the Regional in Provo and the Final Four in Salt Lake City? GoodAsGould
Dont really know much about him but everyone that has had anything to say about him has said how great he was and everything.
retro1983hat
He really was a genuinely nice guy. I am a little disapointed with him dying during the Tourney that CBS and ESPN really didn't talk or cover it. Digger Phelps was like a son to Ray and they didn't give him 5 mins to talk about Coach during the Tourney wrapup.
