Agreed.

Healthy thome > healthy thomas.

At this stage. I believe.

Maybe not before.. but now.

go thomas tho, get your way to 500 :)

I have the same thinking about that.....at this point i agree...but not earlier in their careers

He's always been a "Me" player, and I think it'd be fitting if he didn't reach that goal. I guess his statements about the Sox organization makes me deem him unworthy of gaining that goal.

I disagree. But I'm not gonna get into it about Frank. This has already been beaten to death.

You're entitled to disagree. I just happen to dislike Frank and think he's whiny. You like him and think he's not. It's not a big deal.

You know, all things considered, I'd still take a Healthy Thome over a Healthy Thomas.

Even including money plus the price to get the player as well?

Not a chance in hell I do then. Give me Thomas.

If both are guaranteed to be healthy, I take Thomas, use him as my DH, let PK go to Anaheim or Baltimore, and then trade Anderson/Rowand along with Gio and Haig to Florida for Delgado. I then have the lefty bat I needed, and, if I'm thinking right here, a little bit more money to use than the Sox did this offseason...perhaps enough to save from dealing Vizcaino in the deal to Arizona for Vazquez...or also perhaps keeping Duque, and using him as a swingman.

Multiple impossibilities I could ponder upon...but everything I've said is pretty much a waste because there's about no chance in hell Thomas is healthy, so it's all a moot point.

This more or less ended when you said this... ''If both are guaranteed to be healthy''.

I see he's played consecutive games and will start the season on the roster, rather than the DL. This is better than I expected, good for him.

It will be interesting to see how much they are able to use him. While I had hoped the White Sox would retain him I knew he would cost 3 roster spots any given game: his, the guy who runs for him and the guy who finishes the game at DH. He's going to have to really hit well, like he did last year, to last under these circumstances. A slow start could get him released.
