Gregory Pratt
Which one would you take, if you had to choose between them? I'd choose Thome, personally.
Buehrle>Wood
In their Prime? Thomas, no doubt. Right now? Thome, no doubt.
iWiN4PreP
Right now at this stage? Man its tuff to say cause how do we know how they would do healthy? but any idea on who's older? I'd say thome right now, just cause im a bigger fan of his attitude. but really, there almost like the same player in my book right now. Yeah, all things considered, Thome's attitude pushes me toward him, since they're both very similar.

One more note, mate. Thomas believes he's in his prime now, remember?!
Jordan4life_2007
In there primes? It's not even close. Frank was the most dangerous hitter in the game until steroids took over. Edited March 27, 2006 by Jordan4life_2006

greg775
I'd take Frank throughout his career. As far as now? I guess Thome since I am skeptical Frank will ever play more than 50 games in a season again. He's going to keep reinjuring that foot. Balta1701
100% Healthy and in their primes...Frank Thomas without a second thought of any sort. Probably every year before 2001 I'd make the same choice. Right now, I think Thome's injury is something he's much more likely to recover from. He's also younger. He's just got a much better chance to contribute for a full season than Frank.
RME JICO
I would go with Thomas then and Thome now. Thome has never hit over .314, while Thomas batted over .305 in every year from 1990-2000, except for 1998.
Allsox
In their primes, Frank 100%. Right now, Thome. Two fractures on a weight bearing joint doesn't bode well for him and the A's. Down the line, if Frank stays healthy though, the Sox may a tough opponent in the ALCS waiting for them
