Mcd's game

Recommended Posts

So far what I have read the most impressive have been Kevin Durant, Oden, Darrel Arthur, Ellington, Cook and Budinger(the Napoleon Dynomite knockoff).

Jerry Meyer is gushing over my boy Sherron, calling him the most impressive guard. He is also kind of ripping apart Scheyer, calling him a "system player", who is more cerebral than athletic.

Scheyer at Duke isn't going to be anything special, a "system player" is a perfect way to describe him, and he has nowhere near as good a shot as Redick.

As for Collins, he'll be a hell of a player, but it's 50/50 right now if he will even qualify (although it's Kansas, so he will). Oden of course is the most dominant player and Budinger will fit in perfectly at Arizona, although he's so odd because a goofy looking 6'7 white guy SHOULD NOT be that athletic.

The experts say Collins will get in, I have seen stranger things. The experts are going gaga over him, i mean hes 5"11 and close to 200. I cannot wait for him to join Chalmers, Rush and Robinson in the backcourt.

Game is tonight, don't forget to watch. Fans can finally watch and actually cheer for their player to do well now.

Things I have been hearing.

Sherron Collins and Tywon Lawson have been playing very well, both ridiculously quick and it should be fun watching them go against each other.

Greg Oden has been Greg Oden, he doesn't even get talked about with the practice reports anymore because its just a given that he's the best in the class. Kevin Durant has been dominating every practice, and there isn't even talk that he should be the top player in the class.

H.S. teammates Gerald Henderson and Wayne Ellington have been dominating, practices and elsewhere...

Guys that are the leading candidates for the MVP award of the game, Kevin Durant, Oden(suprise), Thaddeus Young, Javaris Crittendon, and Chase Budinger. If Kevin Durant doesn't win the award, I will be shocked. He's been on fire, and loves to shoot the ball.

Collins reminds me a lot of Will Bynum, thick undersized explosive guard out of the public league with a world of potential but a lousy HS coach. If Bail and his staff can coach this kid up, he will end up in the NBA.

Watch out for G-Tech again next year, Crittendon and Young are both freaks of nature.

Crittendon is tempering my enthusiasm for GT next year. He's a PG that looks for his own shot 1st, which is exactly what GT doesn't need. Sure he will add a defensive presence to the position, but I wonder how much better he will make the team.

The game was a good one this year. Durant is a freak, but had a quiet 23 points if that is possible. Budinger was the best player to me, he was making great plays in every aspect. He had some great passes as well as some pretty finishes. Oden is simply incredible on defense. I also thought Scheyer played well in the 2nd half, but I might be biased.

Durant is NICE. Texas is gonna be scary good next year if Aldridge passes on the draft.

Which he won't since he's a top 3 lock ;), but they are still going to be really good anyways.

Oh, and Budinger is just ridiculous. Can't wait to see him next year. Saw nothing out of Scheyer to convince me out of thinking he will be a bench player at Duke, but then again it was just an all star game so it's not like that would change my mind anyways.

I don't want to even talk about Oden.....I just hope next year goes by fast.

So what's the latest on Aldridge anyway? It seems as if he really isn't sure if he wants to stay at Texas or enter the draft.

If he has a brain, he goes pro. Top 3 lock, his stock will never get any higher, and in fact will get lower if he comes out next year or stays all 4 years considering how much better those classes will be. I'd be beyond shocked if he doesn't come out.
