LOL.  Anyway,  Jimbo can take over now.  I don't care about Kansas enough to defend them.

Ha, I'm just really giving Jimbo a hard time. Kansas is obviously going to be super talented next year but it is honestly really hard to bet on a Bill Self coached team.

collins outplayed Lawson, way to go little guy. That little guy can sure dunk, dammmmmmmmmmmmmm

lol, Collins didn't outplay Lawson. Lawson had 4 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal. Collins had 11 points and 3 assists. Lawson didn't look for his own shot, Collins did, as usual. Both are going to be special guards. This class is ridiculously loaded, atleast up top.

Dammit, Bill has hair plugs not a toupee. If Self does not get past the first round, a little man named Mark Turgeron may get a call soon.

Collins is really the type of player we need, a guard who can penetrate and find the big man. Chalmers and him are going to work so well off each other. Arthur would just be icing on the cake, but well see.

Saw nothing out of Scheyer to convince me out of thinking he will be a bench player at Duke, but then again it was just an all star game so it's not like that would change my mind anyways.

Honestly, how many times have you ever seen him play? He's every bit as good as the hype. He'll prove his doubters wrong during his time at Duke.

Also, Collins played well by his standards, but I'm not sure if he is a true PG. He was sloppy, and always will be. He is incredibly strong with his dribble and quick down the court, but I was disappointed with his decision making (even if it's an all-star game). Basically, I think Collins is talented and will put up great numbers at Kansas, but the question is whether or not he will help his team win as a PG or as a scorer. He reminds me a lot of Marbury.

Every point guard was throwing up alley oops and running out of control. Collins set Scheyer up for 2 of the 3 three pointers. He is the quintessential PG.

An all-star game is a bad example, but he reminds me a lot of Marbury the other times I've seen him.

Let's see how he does in a real system with players on the court who are about the same/as good as him. That dunk at the end was sick. I see many alleys to JuJu and Rush next year.

These are Illinois kids, so I have actually seen them both play several times in person and a few more on tv. I agree with everything you said on Collins, but you seem to have a bit of a Scheyer homer complex. Even in HIGH SCHOOL, all he was was a catch and shoot player (but a damn good one of course, I'll give you that, a lot of points and used his 6'5 frame well). He is going to have to work his ass off if he plans on making any impact at a school with that much talent.

Crittendon is tempering my enthusiasm for GT next year. He's a PG that looks for his own shot 1st, which is exactly what GT doesn't need. Sure he will add a defensive presence to the position, but I wonder how much better he will make the team.

Um, you do know this was an all-star game, right? I can't believe the amount of complaining about Crittenton I've seen from UNC fans....even though I also think he shot too much last night and Lawson didn't get enough playing time. However, Hewitt will get Crittenton to play a team game, as there's going to be 4 other scoring options on the court at times. Also, if you saw what GT had at point guard last season, you'd know that Crittenton is about 50 times better than what they had at that position.

You do realize I posted that before the game even happened. I'm basing my info from alot of practice reports and his previous high school play. He's certainly an upgrade at PG for GT or just about any team in the nation, but he's not going to cure their problem's unless he plays more unselfish. I don't base any of my opinions of players on All-Star games, and I hope nobody else will either.

No, i didn't realize that. I apologize for the all-star comment. I just am confused at why so many UNC fans were so critical of him last night. I don't think I saw Ellington or Henderson pass the ball once.

The game was a great one, everyone on the court passed the ball, outside of Durant, which was expected. Fans criticizing him over last nights game are pretty ignorant. Although I have a feeling some of the fans are just trying to downplay his arrival at GT, even though he was the one that gave Lawson the most trouble defensively in practice. Similarly to the way Jarret Jack caused Felton more problems than anyone.

Since when have "quintessential PG's" been shoot first players? Don't get me wrong, he's super talented. He's also a 5'10 off guard.

Sherron Collins is not an off-guard, he has some of the best moves and passing ability that I have seen for a kid his size.

We'll see. Out of curiousity, how much have you seen him play? I've seen him play a quite a few times and the only time he's looked for a pass is when he's falling down.

I like his ability to get to the hole and score in the lane. His shot's streaky, but he can light it up. He doesn't see the court all that well and knowledge of the game is subpar. Hey, he's a HS kid though. His athletic ability will nullify his weaknesses. However, he's anything but a "quintessential PG." He's going to have to refine his game when he gets to Lawrence. He's super talented though.

I have watched him twice on TV, and gone to about 4 of his games. He already was quote as saying his goal is to break Aaron miles freshamn assist record. Most of these top studs care more about their AAU teams, and have fun at the high school level.
