KevHead0881
QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) guys i know we are all excited...but if we are already assuming that thornton will be solid based off of his first outing, then are we gonna assume politte is gonna be trash? Bmac looked so confident out there today. He deserves to be starting but damn it's gonna be nice to have him in the pen. Having him there and succeeding certainly helps our bullpen look a little nicer. I don't think anybody is ready to crown him as the second coming, but his performance last night, combined with how he finished the spring, certainly is encouraging. The one thing I was disappointed in is that we didn't throw the Legend of Boone Logan out there for the 9th. With the 6 run lead, I thought it would have been a good situation for him to get his feet wet (no pun intended). But I'm not going to be picky. RockRaines
QUOTE(xBOOSTx @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) YESSS!!! I just got back from the Opener... What A Night... OH BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. That Opening Ceremony was unbelievable & a Jim Thome Homer along with a White Sox Winner only made it that much sweeter. Now I can't wait to get my ring on tuesday and hopefully see our second win of the season. ^^^^^ Amen. It was cold, rainy, and they cut off beer sales, but damn I had a good time. LVSoxFan
I have to say, nothing makes me prouder to be a Sox fan than all the noise the couple of thousand people left were making. I remember being a quite a few games last year where there weren't that many people but those of us that were there were LOUD. Or, watching on TV and hearing the same thing. But yeah, with the diehards there in the wee hours, you could still "feel" the excitement because people were so rowdy. Nice job, those of you who were there! I didn't really enjoy staying up until past 2 am (east coast) and then having to get my ass out of bed around 7:15 to get to class and then work, but... I love watching Sox games after a long rain delay. Sox fans seem to be the only ones who can have 38,000 people, or 8,000 people, in the stands, and the stadium atmosphere is still jacked. (Of course it helps being the night they raised the World Series banner) But, it's been that way in years past anyway, and it was a great game last night. I Second LV, great job to the Sox fans at the Cell last night!

We had a nice comeback towards the end to get within a run, but the crowd was awesome.
Rowand44
To add on about Bmac, I think we saw just how important this guy can be for the team. He saved the pen last night and dominated while doing so. Last year this game would have absolutely tore up our pen right away, that wouldn't have been good. Bmac is going to be such an essential part to this team, it's such a luxury to have a guy like him in the pen.

Gregory Pratt
Maybe I heard wrong -- I hope I heard wrong -- but was it just me, or did the Crowd boo Boone Logan, Tadahito Iguchi and Don f***ing Cooper during the Opening Ceremonies? Or were they chanting, "Boooooone" "Cooooooope" and "Goooooooooch" and it just sounded like boos?
