NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 6, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) I can't blame you. The Tigers have been BAD for a while now, and as long as the Sox still make it to the postseason, its good for a team like Detroit to stick around for a little while... Personally I think Detroit is going to fade like a cheap sweater in the wash. I just dont see their pitching holding up all season long.

whitesoxfan101
Detroit won't fade, but if we win 95-100 games again this year, they won't keep up with that pace. The Tigers are good, but more like upper 80's to maybe around 90 wins good IMO. Edited May 8, 2006 by whitesoxfan101

witesoxfan
QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ May 6, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) Todd Jones is just not going to get it done. I know he has a large salary, but he should be pitching mop up IMO. Agreed. I have no idea why Dombrowski brought him back to Detroit...the guy had a good year last year, big effin deal. I am going to go based on his entire career, which has been quite mediocre overall. Kenny Rogers has surprised the hell out of me though. I don't know how this guy keeps going. That has been a very nice signing. I am quietly hoping both you and Cleveland are in it towards the end, as well as Minnesota...not sure about anyone else, but I would love to see a great division race this year, and for years to come for that matter. whitesoxfan101
Paul Byrd f***ing blows, but it's not a surprise. He's gotta love that Indians offense though, he came into tonight with the convenience store ERA of 7.11, yet also with a 4-2 record. fathom
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 8, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) How 'bout no? These are the same people that didn't want the Sox to run away with the division last year. Then, when the gap started to close, they'd post the avatar with the guy choking. If the Sox win the division by 40 games, that would be just dandy with me. Kyyle23
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 9, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) Im not sure whats worse, there staff or there pen. I trolled a Tribe board during spring just because I could , and thats all they could talk about with the Sox, is how bad the our pen is. My how have the tables have turned..... To be truthful, theirs would be much better off with a healthy Betancourt and Miller, but I dont know if Miller could be counted on to remain healthy. Betancourt was put on the 15 day DL, right? He should probably come off soon.
