pale_hose
Ya know, its only the 4th game of the season, but still...these last three games have been horrible. We started out great tonight, but what the hell has been happening to our pitching later in the games? Should we be worried? Or just not worry? I think tonight will be a wake-up call for us and we can pull our heads out of our butts...The Royals? damn...

We need to win at least 3 of these road games to get to .500 on the road.

I've been now to two back-to-back losses in less than three days, freezing my ass of during both. Oh well. We're a warm-weather team, right? :banghead

I don't think it's time to worry, not nearly. The season has been bizarre so far. Even Pettitte was just f'n shelled. The Royals can sweep us and I'll feel the same. It's just too early. Streaks can happen anytime.
hammerhead johnson
We obviously suck hard. Why even bother watching any more games? When does the NFL season start? September? God damn son of a b****. What the f*** am I going to do for the next 5 months? :banghead
SoxFanForever
The Yankees won 95 games and are 1-3 right now. The Braves who have won their division forever are only 2-2 right now. I think they are both mailing in the season as well.

DBAHO
Just be glad we have a very good 5th starter this season people's. I hate to see the mood around here, say if we were chucking Dan Wright out on the mound tomorrow.

The Ginger Kid
You can tell the Sox players have already resigned themselves to a losing season. There's major friction in the clubhouse and Ozzie's lost complete control of the team. Konerko's a cancer, who knew? Is Mariotti starting some of these threads? I'm a White Sox fan but in all honesty very much a pragmatist who can step aside from my allegiance to the Sox and be rational. That said, this ballclub is going to blow you away this year. Hang on and enjoy it. Edited April 8, 2006 by The Ginger Kid

DBAHO
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 10:26 PM) Detroit will be a hard team to beat in our division this year. If you look at it, every team improved except for Cleveland, and they are still scary. I'm still iffy on the Tigers. Everyone talks about how good their offense is. But Maggs sucks at Comerica, Pudge can't hit for power and doesn't take a walk, and they've got a lot of injury prone players like Carlos Guillen. They could produce, but it could blow up in their faces like it has before. But they should be better than what they were.
G&T
QUOTE(SouthPaw @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 01:53 AM) Yeah i was just thinking that the Yankees have the same record... but nobody is worried about them... and I'm gonna go ahead and say that we have a better team than them. But they go through this a lot so it makes sense to them, though I'm sure some of them think the sky is falling. Rest assured, nobody except White Sox fans believes this team won't turn it around fast.
EvilJester99
Way too early to begin freaking out over a few bad games.... The only thing I do wonder is if maybe "The Truth" may have been at least a little right? It doesn't seem like they guys are quite gelling as well as one would hope...still its too early to freak out. Baines3
I know it is only the beginning of April, but where in the world is the Sox pitching staff? Detroit will never keep going at the pace they are, they'll fade. Edited April 9, 2006 by whitesox1976
jackie hayes
QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) I know it is only the beginning of April, but where in the world is the Sox pitching staff? Pettitte, Zito, Odalis Perez, Wakefield, Daniel Cabrera... We haven't been good, but it's not unusual. It seems like pitchers everywhere are getting hammered. And Javy looked brilliant today, imho. So don't jump to conclusions on this.
GreatScott82
QUOTE(JoeBatterz @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 03:51 AM) Didn't the Astros start out 15-30 last year? Good point! We can defnitley rebound from a 1-4 start! Its just the fact that were losing the close games is what scares me. Winning 3-2 in the 8th on wednesday, bullpen gives up HR to tie it. Winning 3-2 yesterday, bullpen gives up HR in the 8th for them to win the game. Its time for Ozzie and Coop to realize the one guy they can count on to come into the game late and shut the door is BMac. I have a feeling we'll be seeing him this afternoon. That is of course MB doesn't shut the door himself On this day April 9th 2006, the defending champs will awaken from there sleep. The consisten winning begins NOW!
