Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Today we looked like the team that won the world series last year. Please god tell me that's not Whitney? Good win by our Sox today.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) Fastball was consistantly in the high 90's topping out at 99 a few times, slider in the low 90's, curve around 85 but is still having problems throwing it for a strike. Also Hawk said Bobby was throwing 100+ in the pen the past few days. Good to hear that the velocity is up.

KWs OK for Me
Interesting Stat Line Right Here: Chicago White Sox HR Total: 3 Jim Thome HR Total: 3 BBTN actually giving you an interesting stat. Im surprised that he's the only one who has taken a ball deep through 6 games. I'm not concerned about this, god knows that the Sox will hit for power with Thome, Konerko, Dye, AJ, and Crede. AJ wont hit many Homers, he more affective shooting the gaps.
SoxAce
QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) AJ wont hit many Homers, he more affective shooting the gaps. Agreed. I can honestly say that high HR total he had last year was a "fluke". He'll be back to his 10-13 HR .275+ AVG this season which is what we need more. SSH2005
AJ wont hit many Homers, he more affective shooting the gaps. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That depends on whether or not he's swinging for the fences again this year like he did last season. Agreed, and I think he tried to adjust himself to hitting in the Cell and taking bigger swings. I would much prefer the 2001-2003 300+ hitting AJ with ~10 HRs. That would be great

orangekrush88
Awesome win, glad we got this one to get some confidence and get the monkey off our back, going into Detroit, losing 5 straight...we could have been in serious trouble of starting 1-8. Hopefully Garcia steps up tomorrow.

So far, he's not. He seems pretty dialed in, actually, and looks pretty good at the plate.
BigSqwert
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) Singleton said that the stadium gun was showing 97 MPH which he said was fast. He said that Jenks was probably throwing around 95 MPH. I was there. His first batter he threw one at 100mph and a couple at 98...according to the scoreboard in Kaufman.
