iWiN4PreP
I get : Travis Hafner I give : Ryan howard and G. Atkins Basically, the league is a 6by6 league, with hits as the extra offensive category. 7 teams in the league. What do you think of this trade.. who wins? I could pick up Bill hall, Joe Randa, Joe crede, or mike lowell. If I took this trade, I think my UTIL spot will be more stable with a guy like hafner, instead of a sophmore player like howard. However, I think my infield wud take a deep fall from atkins to one of the other guys. Do you think the fall is worth it? etc. Im wondering what to do here... dont really know :-/ Oh and the guy doesnt have a 3b that i would want. He has s*** at third base, i guess thats why he added atkins. also Encarnarcion and Nomar garciappara is on the free agents. 7 team league, but their is 2 positional players per team. so there is 2 thirdbasemen per team. thats why there is few depth at third base on the free agents. ChWRoCk2
accept it, hafner is a stud this year, see if you can pick up ryan freel, otherwise just go with lowell, he should put up decent numbers with the bosox

Kalapse
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) I would not. Howard will put up 30, 35 HR's, and Adkins was just named NL player of the week. Hafner is also just avaiable at the one position. I wouldnt do it. ^^^ Hafner cripples your lineup by only being available at UTIL, Howard should put up similar power numbers to Hafner but with a significantly lower batting average. Adkins will turn out to be very valuable by the end of the season, you're better off keeping the two.

Heres how i looked at it, theres seven teams in the league, so pretty much every team has superstars at every position im sure he can find someone at third in FA to replace atkins and this isnt a keeper so it makes sense. Im in an 8 man league and theres some good 3B that i could just go and grab right out of free agency. Theres got to be a decent replacement for atkins. Id like to know some of the free agents, but its your team im not clicking the button on the mouse to make it happen. iWiN4PreP
Hmm the guy offered me the trade again. Im still debating on it. And thats what i was thinking, in small head to head non keeper leagues, the best thing to do is get stable Superstars at all your positions. And hafner is better then howard, and more stable. Atkins id be replacing with mueller, or lowell, or e. encarnarcion, or joe crede. Or hell, maybe a rotation of all them. Who knows. Any more opinions on this trade please? iWiN4PreP
I accepted this trade. I then picked up e. encarnarcion and hoping he gets on a hot streak vs the cubs (he hit grand slam today), and ill prolyl use thirdbase as a revolving door. new thirdbasemen etc. unless something else happens.
