southsideirish71
This guy is going to challenge us with a fastball. My prediction today is we bring out the bats big time. Konerko will have a huge day. So will Dye.
Rowand44
This pitching matchup scares the hell out of me. Hopefully this is the game Pods decides to wake up and can cause Verlander some problems right away in the first inning. We obviously need Jon to step up, can't have that guy against KC. I don't have a good feeling about this one, hopefully I'm wrong. GO SOX!!!!!!!!!

LosMediasBlancas
I'm curious to see what he brings. He's had 1 good start this year, but a shaky 2005. Good day for the rest of the offense to contribute.
AbeFroman
so verlander has a cannon right? and he's a rookie? The sox have struggled with that combination in the past (for some reason....) Hope they get to him early and often today.

Worst case scenario we go .500 on this road trip. Last I checked that's a good thing. Just need to improve the home record.

We need a win today to make up for 1 of those first 2 series which we didn't win.

fathom
I know most aren't too optimistic about today's game, even though Garland pitched great vs the Tigers last year. I don't know how long we can keep winning games though with our 9/1 hitters doing nothing.
southsider2k5
Lets hope the D takes care of Garland a little better today, though with Ozuna on the bench and Pods in left, that ought to help at least a little bit.
lord chas
i think pods is breaking out today. at least two hits
