Soft tosser huh?  I didnt know low 90's fastball/sinker pitchers were soft tossers?

2 bad outings and you abandon all hope for a player.  Man im glad you arent affiliated with the white sox in any way.

Soft-tosser means he does not strike out many guys compared to walks not velocity, has nothing to do with outing he is our 5th starter nothing more.

You have to admit, being staked to a 6 run lead, and not being able to hold it, despite a couple of misplays, and being staked to an 8 run lead and not being able to keep it a laugher has to be a little concerning.

But, for the record, I think he'll start pitching much better and it's foolish to give up on Garland now, particularly when we have so much invested in him.

I don't think anyone has suggested giving up on him. Just take him out when he obviously has nothing and is getting rocked. You never know, you may need a cushion later.

If you can trade Chris Benson, Mike Hampton and Kevin Brown, you can trade Jon Garland.

Hampton wasn't a one year wonder. Brown was coming off a good season when traded to NY. Benson had a decent year last season. All their situations are different from Garland's, IMO.

Uh no, soft tosser means no velocity. Hence the word "soft." And he doesnt walk alot of people at all, so I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. Basically you dont know much about him, but you would like to criticize someone, and he is your easiest target, huh?

Yeah, I would take a 27 year old Garland over any of those guys.

No one in the world is going to say Benson has more value than Garland.

Thats just absurd.

Unless Anna's services are part of the deal, you are correct.

I'd like to see him try and steal.

But if he gets caught stealing, Pods then leads off the next inning, meaning Gooch goes to the plate with one out. Its best to have Pods just get out now, and let Gooch/Thome/Konerko start with a clean slate.
