Jon is human, and has the right to have a few bad days over 182 games. Get 'em outta the way now I say.

And I agree with Oz leaving him in there and not pulling a Jerry and pulling him right away. Oz has always let the guys try to pitch out of crap.

:bang :P

I am not able to watch the game to see Jon pitch and if it's just bad outings, well we know anyone can have those. Main thing is to win even if its 50-49.

Garland's not some rookie.  He proved last year that he can compete at the MLB level.  However, you're doing your team a disservice by keeping him in the game when it's obvious that he has nothing in the tank TODAY!

If he proved he can compete at the major league level, why the eff would you pull him with an 8 run lead?

Is this the same Seay that didn't sign with the Sox after we picked him in the first round?

Spelled S-E-A-Y.

Ugh.. Ed is on my LAST nerve today.

Oh come on, I said from the first inning he didnt have his good stuff today, it happens.  If he comes out his next 2 starts and pitches well, would you say he is back to his old self?

Which old self are you talking about? The 18 game winner from last year or the erractic 5.00 era, .500 pitcher in the years previous?

Because he had absolutely nothing today and no one is saying you pull him with an 8 run lead. But whe that lead gets cut to 5 and then 4 you probably want to pull him.

I never said pull him with an 8 run lead. I think when it got to be 10-6, that's when he should have been pulled. The thing is, there shouldn't be any reason to argue. It's simply awful that Garland has been able to coast with these two huge leads he's had so far this year.
