aboz56
Do the Twins have any plans of moving him to the rotation this year? I thought it was quite odd that they have him in the pen and Baker in the rotation. I've got him stashed on my fantasy team and hoping he'll be in the rotation soon. Rowand44
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) Do the Twins have any plans of moving him to the rotation this year? I thought it was quite odd that they have him in the pen and Baker in the rotation. I've got him stashed on my fantasy team and hoping he'll be in the rotation soon. I think he'll be in the rotation before the all start break. The plan was to nurse him along like they did with Johan but Liriano is just too darn good and he's ready to go. I'd be pretty surprised if he's not in the rotation pretty soon.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) My gut feeling is that Liriano is going to be in the rotation before the All Star break. Gardenhire wants him to get his feet wet coming in from the bullpen

I wouldnt stash him away on your fantasy team, s***, even coming out of the pen, the guy is one of the most consistent pitchers I have thus far. If you have a spot for him, put him in everyday. If you have a spot for him, put him in everyday. That's what I am doing with him. He is lowering my WHIP and ERA every time he is out there (and adding a few Ks). I was kinda hoping the twins would trade him... you know... to the white sox. maybe for anderson gomes or salvador sanchez

So yes, I do have him in, but I can't go all season just having him in the pen. Here's my staff: Buehrle Felix Hernandez Brandon Webb Barry Zito Freddy Garcia John Lackey Francisco Liriano Bobby Jenks Chad Cordero Dan Miceli If he becomes a starter my staff becomes scary good. GoodAsGould
Lohse prob will be traded. He had a really good spring training and they thought he turned things around.... well they thought wrong
Benchwarmerjim
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Why they keep Loshe in the rotation is beyond me. becuase Lohse has 'potential' or that is his tag on him and the Twins have worked for 4 years trying to develop that potential It seems to me that they are stubborn and think he can turn the corner but I dont think so. He is just inconsistent he'll pitch 3 straight games of mediocre ball, then pitch that one 8 IP, 2H, 5 K 0BB game that keeps him on a leash for a few more starts I was hoping the Twins brass would trade him for a big or even a decent bat in the offseason. That obviously did not happen
whitesoxfan101
Liriano and Santana are going to be killing us for a long time. Damnit I hate lefties with unhitable stuff.
DBAHO
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 05:57 AM) Lohse prob will be traded. He had a really good spring training and they thought he turned things around.... well they thought wrong I think they've been trying that for a year or two now. They've got Boof Bonser down at AAA and the likes of Glen Perkins (think that's his name) down at AA. Some excellent SP prospects.

They've got Boof Bonser down at AAA and the likes of Glen Perkins (think that's his name) down at AA. Some excellent SP prospects. Is Perkins doing good? He's the local boy they drafted out of Minnesota right (1st round pick from the Gophers). Pretty solid lefty when he was with the Gophers. Of course I saw the Titans freaking DRUB him one game. Therefor, so can the Sox

DBAHO
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 05:52 AM) Perkins is the Twins 3rd option if starting pitchers go down IIRC Aaron Gleeman was saying last season he's one of those guys that dominated high A ball, bur struggled initally when he made the jump to AA ball. How's he been doing this season Jim?
Felix
Perkins: 2GS, 7 IP, 3.86 ERA, 6 H, 3 R, 12:3 K:BB
