greg775
Your logic is faulty. A win tonight counts the same as a win later in the season. I agree, but he has to let his high paid, talented pitcher go 5, 6, 7 innings no matter what lest he lose the player. You have to let him get some innings this early in year no matter how he does. Ndgt10
f***ing horible decision to have widger bunt. The pitcher is struggling and we are just giving them an out. Also, it's not like it's a 1-0 game either; it's a freaking slugfest.
greg775
I assume he screwed up the bunt. At some point a Widger has to execute if he wants to get in any games. I would blame the bunter not the call for the bunt.
fathom
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) Trying to show confidence in his hitters. Exactly....let Widger swing the bat then. It's too early to be playing for one run. And it's not like Anderson is just having bad luck at the plate. There's a difference between struggling to get a hit....and just swinging the bat poorly. Crede just got a bad secondary lead, and he's so slow. It's another reason why you don't bunt in that situation.

greg775
Cmon ND we can't assume multi talented anderson is gonna make an out every time up.
SSH2005
No one could have seen that coming. Not even Ozzie.

TitoMB345
And Anderson strikes (out) again! What a great hitter! Two on, no out. now two on, two out. What a horrible waste of a game. Up 3, now down 2. Bad bad bad.
maggsmaggs
Anderson simply sucks ass right now. We can't just keep putting him in the line-up, he's too much of a liability.

Ummm...actually, it should be the job of the manager to put his team in the best position to win. I hope Ozzie didn't think Anderson had a real good chance against Walker's slider. greg775
These sloppy games are hard to win with our bullpen. It all boils down to pitching and defense.
TitoMB345
Now we need Pablo to save us again. Come on baby! Two-run double! Let's go!
greg775
Since I don't have the game on TV and I'm assuming too much I better get out of here for a while. Peace.

Ndgt10
The call for Widger to bunt conceding the momentum of that inning.
fathom
Well....Ozzieball cost us that inning. I'm confident we can score two more runs this game...but we have to keep Toronto from scoring.
maggsmaggs
We keep blowing opportunities. I really hope Ozzie doesn't keep Vazquez in. But we our two long men B-Mac and Thorton are probably out today.
southsideirish71
1st and 2nd, no outs and we f*** ourselves out of the inning. Why would you bunt and put pressure on a kid who is struggling.

Peace. That's a good idea. This is a horrible game. It hurts a lot to watch. Anderson is once again sucking HORRIBLY. He absolutely killed a bases loaded, one out situation, and he strikes out with 2 on. Good job guys!
