jphat007
QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Cliff threw that one right over the middle of the plate. Despite all the talk here, I think the greater part of this slaughter was the Jays hitting very well and lucky as they blooped poorly hit singles all over the place. Javier threw some meatballs to Zaun, Rios and Hillenbrand. Unfortunately, they squared each of them. They are definitely hot right now though. fathom
This Blue Jays lineup is going to give us trouble all year. Guys like Cat, Zaun, Adams, and Glaus have always given us trouble. You have a superstar in Wells, and a very solid hitter in Overbay....and I don't like our chances vs them.
TitoMB345
I like how we leave him in there, after 2 homers and a single. Game over, Ozzie just threw in the towel, just like he did last Friday when he brought in Thorton. Good thing we got Buehrle going tomorrow to get us back on track. I expect another 7+ IP from him, with 0 ER. NEWS: Politte gives up another hit and another run! 2 out, man on third!

jphat007
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) That switch has already been made. Bmac has been in the competitve games at the end. And Cliffy is throwing extended BP when we go down by a few. Well. The two times Bmac came in it was early and he was rolling so he kept him in. But yah, you are probably right. fathom
Nice awareness by Widger. Shea didn't touch home....and Widger didn't bother going back to tag him. Hey Ozzie....GET POLITTE'S ASS OUT OF THERE! All you're doing is f***ing with his confidence.

fathom
Well....our worst fears about Politte being washed up look to be right on so far. If he continues to throw batting practice, our bullpen is really f***ed.

I'll agree with this bigtime. Toronto is full of Sox killers. Glaus, Zaun, Cat, Reed Johnson, Bengi. I fear them more than almost any other offense against us. Plus they are hot, which compounds the problem. Edited April 15, 2006 by jphat007

jphat007
Oakland's pitching staff is getting rocked the last 4 days. Not really having anything to do with us. Weird pitching start ot the year. Further, nice to see Cleveland looking like crap the last 3 games. Edited April 15, 2006 by jphat007

Whole different game if Anderson gets a hit in either of the bases loaded situations. I should have said Cliff obviously didn't help us, but it was no where near the turning point of the game.
