AbeFroman
Off the top of my head, I saw two other home runs which made me shudder: 2) I'm pretty sure that A-rod hit one to the concourse in left in the second game of a rangers double header in 2000. 1) Dan Pasqua hit one out of the old stadium against the A's circa 1988... still the longest I've personally seen. Non-white sox honorable mention: ESPN Las Vegas Home Derby - Pat Burrell hit one of the top of the light tower in left-center of Cashman field which has enormous dimensions to begin with... AbeFroman
QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) im pretty sure chavez, arod, thomas and borchard have all hit the concourse...pasqua hit one 484, but i remember he hit one onto the roof at the old park, that had to be the farthest... That Pasqua one is the homer I'm talking about in my above post. I think it was a late inning homer against the california angels. I'll never forget it... Gene Honda Civic
This appears incorrect... quoting the White Sox Press Pass Thome's HRs have traveled 2,937ft. (420ft. average) with a long of 448 on 4/7 vs. Cleveland.
WCSox
Are there distance estimates for the rooftop shots that Kittle and Luzinski hit at the old ballpark?
SoxFan1
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) Ya, I was at that game, landed in the shrubbery. If that is the game that he hit 2 bombs, 1 near the Fan Deck, than yes, I was there as well. That was my grandpa's first baseball game. LosMediasBlancas
QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:51 PM) That wasn't nearly as impressive as when he hit 2 OUT of Miller Park during the HR derby. Anyone there when Bonds hit one to the concourse and it bounced out during BP 2 years ago? I remember that display at Miller, it was amazing, but an actual game situation is different.
