whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) It's amazing to think that this team could EASILY be 14-1. That's the sign of a team with great talent. No doubt, and we still aren't playing all that well in several phases of the game yet. This team has scary good potential. JAVY f***ing Doug MIsdehefioudfhuisdoafhicz had to break up the No-No. BTW, Sox pitchers gave up 1 ER in 27 innings this series. Going to be a showdown on Friday. southsider2k5
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) BTW, the Royals set 10 batters over the minimum in the 3 game series... That is incredible. Anyone know if this is anywhere close to a record, because I don't think I have ever heard of anything like this ever before?!?!?!?
Kyyle23
Do game threads get deleted after games now? Or are they archived elsewhere?

They're archived here. We started it last year, and look how that turned out. It's fun to check them out on occasion.
TLAK
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 07:30 AM) That is incredible. Anyone know if this is anywhere close to a record, because I don't think I have ever heard of anything like this ever before?!?!?!? Fantastic eye for stats Tony82087 and southsider2k5. I verified the 10 over the minimum because I couldn't freaking believe it --- but it really happened! I have game logs from 1960 to 2004 and the lowest number of batters over the minimum the Sox faced in a 3 game series I can find is 14. They did it against the Kansas City Athletics in Comiskey ending 10/3/1965; again against Minnesota in Metropolitan ending 6/25/1967. It looks like a team record to me ---at least for the years I have. I love stuff like this.

I googled the Elias sports bureau and I couldn't find an email adress to send a question to.
