Getz is over the .300 mark and Valido is climbing steadily. I hope those 2 can both succeed would be a nice duo leading off for the sox in 08. It is a shame that the Barons have no hitting other than those 2. With the pitching they have gotten they could be 12-3 instead of 7-8. DBAHO Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 So to recap; Charlotte won 5-4. Randolph gave up 4ER in 5IP, not a great outing. Jeff Farnsworth picked up his 4th save of the year. Fields 1 for 3 with a BB and a 2B. Owens 2 for 5 with a 2B (AVG up to .237 now), and Sweeney 1 for 5 (also hittin .237). B-Ham lost 2-1. Ryan Rodriguez gave up 1ER in 6IP, 3BB's and 3K's. Getz 3 for 4 (.304 now), and Valido 2 for 4 (.263) providing a nice punch at the top of the order. Only Mark Quinn had 1 hit, and the rest of the lineup had 0. Kanny won 9-3. Ricky Brooks went 5.1IP, 3ER, 3BB's and 8K's. Jason Rice had 6K's in 2.2IP of relief. Orlando went 0 for 4 with 2K's, Francisco Hernandez homered (went 2 for 4, now .324), Salvador Sanchez 2 for 4 (.213), and Castillo 3 for 5 with a HR. Even Brandon Allen had 2 hits.
