qwerty
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 17, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) I'm not calling Dirk or Matrix Magic Johnson......not even close. But in today's NBA, those 2 can play any position and be pretty good at it. Just my opinion though from watching all these games. Magic johnson also could not play defense nearly as well as either dirk or marion. Dirk has been vastly underated his entire career... to the point that people considered him a below average defender... which has never been true. greasywheels121
I would love to see the Pistons pull a Colts and choke this series.
whitesoxfan101
Hey Sheed, you still think those "clowns" can't win this series? Well you'll have no affect on game 6 since your suspended due to being a asshole with no control of your temper. Enjoy trying to win game 6 on the road without one of your best players Pistons....it's only the end of the season if you lose!
WilliamTell
What do the Spurs have to do to win a game? Duncan goes into the half 11 for 11 with 28 points but it's all tied up at 57. Edited May 18, 2006 by WilliamTell

Mavericks within 3, if this series goes to Game 6 in Dallas, and San Antonio wins that one, I think they'll also win Game 7 back at home. But the Spurs have to win Game 5 before any of this can happen.

Duncan goes into the half 11 for 11 with 28 points but it's all tied up at 57. They are having problems because the Mavericks are a lot better than they are. However I give the Spurs credit, they are playing GREAT ball and staying in these games despite being outmanned talentwise.
WHarris1
Tim Duncan converts some of the ugliest balls ever to be thrown to the rim

whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 17, 2006 -> 11:09 PM) I wouldn't go as far as saying they're a lot better. Talentwise I would, no doubt about it. The Mavs overall have way more depth and talent than the Spurs, but the will and experience of guys like Ducan, Ginobili, and Finley are the only reason this series hasn't gotten ugly. Popovich's coaching has also been stellar, so the Spurs deserve a lot of credit because this series IMO is a big mismatch on paper.
WilliamTell
Down to the wire just like most of the games this series. I'm starting to get a feeling Dallas is going to win this one just like games 3 and 4.
WHarris1
Dirk gets STUFFED by Bowen. Jump ball. ANOTHER jump. The Mavs are in trouble, that could have been a timeout easily. boo. Mavs ball 2.4 left, down 1. COME ON MAVS WIN IT Edited May 18, 2006 by WHarris1
WilliamTell
2 Jumpballs in a row, the last one didn't look right at all. Dallas ball with 2 seconds left.

WilliamTell
And San Antonio surives. That 2nd half was the way the Spurs wanted to play. They only allowed 40 points to the Mavericks in the 2nd half.

Other than the calls, home court means little in this series. Every game goes down to the last possesion other than game 2 obviously. Of course Dallas wants to end it at home, but they are far from "f***ed" if they don't. 4 GREAT games in this series, damn.
WilliamTell
It'll be interesting to see how Avery Johnson has his team rally after this loss. Game 2 was unbelievable with how the Mavericks came out and played. While I don't see another Game 2 in the making for the Mavericks, I think most of us know they'll be ready to come out and play once again. Yeah Dallas really wants to have a game 7 against a team that is 34-7 at home on the year... GMAB, if this series goes 7, SA has the upperhand. SA has lost a whole 18 games in that building in 3 years. Edited May 18, 2006 by WHarris1

GMAB, if this series goes 7, SA has the upperhand. I have to agree with you here. If there is a Game 7, the Mavericks definately have a shot at winning it, but I also think it'll favor the Spurs. I'm going to basically call this Game 6 a must win for both teams. Obviously it's a must win for the Spurs, but I'm saying it for the Mavericks aswell because they won't want to go back to San Antonio to face a surging Spurs team for Game 7.
