Soxpranos
Tori, was on the score and basically did a 180 on his previous statement from friday.. stating that the Sox were not as good as last year. He said, they are the team to beat by far, "looking at them in person" has brought a new perspective. Good interview, guy is honest and said "he tels it on how he see's it" he also mentioned that Thome makes the Sox so dangerous. Kalapse
Wasn't that 1000? I've been listening to Levine and DeFalco since the show started and they did an interview with Torii that fit that exact description.

And that is realistic, seeing a team in person changing your opinion about them, so as much as I dislike TorII I give him credit for being honest. Whitewashed in '05
Glad he's honest, but f*** torii.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) I LOVED the Torii interview, and it actually made me respect him alot more. ^^^ Great interview with Torii, he sounds like just such a great guy and the stuff with Thome was just classic. Chisoxfn
I always stop and listen when I hear Torri on the radio. He's a straight shooter. He's also one of my favorite players in the game. Always has a smile on his face and works his ass off. I gained a lot of respect (and I actually cheer for the Twins as long as we have the division locked up) for Hunter, AJ, Mienty, Rade and some of the other Twins as we were getting whooped by them over the years. I'd take Hunter on the southside any day of the week. He'd fit right in with our stooges and people like Buehrle.

RockRaines
Hunter would look great patrolling Cf for us.
Jimbo's Drinker
he is the CF I want if BA just fails.
GoSox05
hes not a bad guy. We've been trying to make him are "bad guy" rival and it really hasn't worked. He does piss me off catching our homeruns, but that's just because he's so good.
LosMediasBlancas
what would it take to get him? when is he freed up?
qwerty
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 03:29 PM) what would it take to get him? when is he freed up? Well he has a 12 million dollar option for next year which the twins will not be picking up... unless of course they have a deal worked out ahead of time with a big time spending team. I personally see him going to free agency.

Benchwarmerjim
its most likely that Hunter will not be in a Twins uniform next year, unless he take a pay cut (as mentioned, the club has an option for $12 next year) he is a great fielder, and may be the clubhouse leader, but man he strike outs on some awful pitches and his batting average is not so great (.229 right now)
