whitesoxfan101
Shannon should really hire an agent, he's a great player and is MORE than ready for the NBA.
ZoomSlowik
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 09:03 AM) Shannon should really hire an agent, he's a great player and is MORE than ready for the NBA. He's a little small though, there aren't too many 6'3" SG's in the pros. He might make up for it with his athleticism, but my gut feeling is you just want him gone so the Illini don't have to deal with him. Shannon would probably be a 2nd round pick if he enters the draft, he should stay in school.

RME JICO
Guard height is over-rated, especially if you fit him into a scheme. Try him at the point.
whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) Guard height is over-rated, especially if you fit him into a scheme. Try him at the point. Not in the NBA if your a 2. If your a 2 in the NBA, you damn well better have height and length, unless your just a freak like Iverson was when he played 2 all those years and Gordon can be at times now and even Wade at 6'3 or 6'4 is "undersized" as a 2. Brown has the freakish ability however to play the 2 in the NBA despite his lack of height IMO, but I also don't think he has anywhere near the ability to play the point in the NBA. fathom
I feel sorry for any team that would draft Dee Brown over Shannon Brown. In the NBA setting, Shannon Brown fits in so much better.

AddisonStSox
Shannon Brown is much more NBA-ready than Dee Brown if you ask me. If I were Shannon, I'd make the jump. Speaking of jump, this guy is an absolute freak. I can't stand MSU basketball, but, I root for Shannon everytime he is on and I'm always on the edge of my seat. I don't know much about the NBA draft, but, I would love to have him in Chicago. This kid is just electrifying. War Shannon Brown. War insane dunks. War an easier MSU draw. aboz56
The buzz I hear is that he's 95% gone. Guess he didn't want to stick around for a somewhat rebuilding senior season before the loaded 2007 class comes into East Lansing. If this is goodbye to Mr. Brown, he was electrifying to watch every step of the way and helped lead Sparty to a Final Four in 2005. Best of luck to him. fathom
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Right...what prompted that random comment? No one said otherwise. That was more directed at NBA General Managers, who might be more willing to draft Dee because they think he can play point guard in the NBA, while Shannon will be a tweener. SuperSteve
Tis a sad day in East Lansing. Neitzel's goina have to score and goina have to score a lot now. I could really see him staying, as I don't think he's ready, and I think him being the big man here next year is tough to pass up. Heres to hoping he stays.
