Kalapse
I really don't care what Lidge looks like at the moment, I've seen that guy absolutely dominate a better NL in the past especially when he was in the setup role to Dotel and when he was in the 7th inning role to Wagner. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
BigSqwert
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) It's easy to say now that Contreras re-signed. Haven't been a fan of his even before his godawful postseason.
fathom
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 03:13 AM) I agree if we werent able to resign him. Obviously now it would look pretty stupid. BTW, that wasnt a smart ass remark like your a idiot for thinking that, I was just wondering what your current view was... No, it's a very good question. I've seen Lidge pitch, and it's a total confidence issue with him. He seems scared of the bat.

TitoMB345
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) 70.2 IP, 103 K, 2.29 ERA 1.14 WHIP, 42 SV in his first full season as closer. I think a 1.14 WHIP is a bit high for an elite closer. Thats like putting a man on every time you come out for the 9th. Hmmm.
