It seems to be taking him about 2 or 3 seconds after the ball clears the fence to figure out that it's a HR.

Wagner's WHIP in 2005: .84 (38 saves)

Ryan's WHIP in 2005: 1.14 (36 saves)

Hoffman's WHIP in 1998: .85 (53 saves)

Todd Jones' WHIP in 2005: 1.04 (42 saves)

Gagne's WHIPS in 2003/2004: <.88 saves>

 

Jenks' WHIP in 2005: 1.25

 

Small sample size, but the ones I consider elite all had sub 1 WHIP.

 

Not too important, but I thought I'd point it out.
