Holy smokes--Thome at 17 already! Jim Thome has passed his 60th percentile PECOTA projection by April 25th. Way to prove the computers wrong Jim! Paging Joe Morgan...Joe....

LOL @ Mackowiak. Mackowiak is the new Timo so far. Whatsup with that Uribe ranking? His line looks OK, maybe it's because he missed some time with injury, and a bunch of SS are ahead of him in PA.

Yea, VORP does use defense. I'm not sure what measure though.

THANK YOU LOAZIA for that one flash in the pan season!!!

A big thanks to Bryan Cashman and The Boss as well.

AJ with a 5.5 already--that is excellent for him. I think these numbers show just how dominant this team has been so far. That and the RS/RA numbers are looking good too. I believe the Sox have the best Pythag right now as well.

Shows what a fantastic start Jermaine Dye has had to the season. Man wasn't he a hell of a pickup back in the 04-05 off-season.

Especially when the alternatives included the likes of Richard Hidalgo (got released from Baltimore a few weeks ago IIRC).

Yea, through dumb luck or careful planning KW hit gold with Dye and Iguchi especially--among last years signings.

I would consider AJ's signing in that category as well. He seemed like a considerable risk with the "cancer" talks and being on two teams in two years.
