maggliopipe
I don't know if he's throwing much harder from the stretch, but it seems like he's throwing more fastballs and less offspeed s***.
fathom
QUOTE(maggliopipe @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 03:40 AM) I don't know if he's throwing much harder from the stretch, but it seems like he's throwing more fastballs and less offspeed s***. He's throwing strikes. Freddy walked the leadoff guy in the first 3 innings. Thus, he was pitching out of the stretch almost the whole game, and obviously feels more comfortable. fathom
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 03:45 AM) Much, much better. I've been critical of Garcia all year. Since he went to the stretch, this is the most comfortable he's looked all season.
WHarris1
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) He is eating up some VERY valuable innings here. I love it. NO doubt about it. Great job by Freddy to bear down and pick up lots of outs
KWs OK for Me
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) AJ's arm blows, but Freddy, Count and Vaz could care less about holding runners on... Sox Line Against: 13 SB 3 CS (3 PO) Our catchers have not thrown a single person out yet. However, we are only in the middle of the pack for SBs allowed. That surprises me. chitownsportsfan
Our catchers have not thrown a single person out yet. You know, I can accept that from AJ if he continues the nice bat-work--but remind me again: what is Widger's strong suit as backup catcher?
