DePloderer
I am now trying to find a hotel. Not knowing Chicago at all, I don't know which area to choose. Can anyone help? The choices seem to be; DOWNTOWN Loop Near North North Michigan Ave River North South/South loop Lincoln Park/Lakeview. What is the best way to get around Chicago, we'll be coming in from O'Hare. Bus? Rail? Can we get a family pass for a few days?

What are you going to be doing, and that will determine where you want to stay. Downtown is always a nice touch. I love the Palmer House

Also the best hint might be what you guys are planning to do while you are here. The right hotel could save you a train or bus ride for some attractions. Texsox
To make your trip better, before slamming the lid on the bonnet, you should learn to speak English like a good American, not that stuff you speak over there

That hotel looks reeeeal nice though.

I reckon I'll have to choose which attractions we want to visit first. Obviously U.S. Cellular Field will be on the Saturday night.

Check their packages, I was usually good at finding deals. But I would schedule my stays around the deals. And, if travelling to Milwaukee the Pfister Hotel is another favorite. I see they have closed the English Room, which was a very nice restaurant.

Something downtown would give you the truest Chicago experience, especially if you can get something with an excellent view of Grant and Millenium parks. In that case you are only a couple/few block walk to Chicagos excellent public transit train system, which will only run you a $1.75 per person each way, and drops off/picks up right at the ballpark. Something with a N Michigan Ave adress or Wacker Dr would be your best bet. The drawback is that these are also the most expensive spots in town.
