Drew
Due and Uno are the same thing. I have to go with them, they've been doing it before anyone. And I still think they do it the best.
Scwible
Giordanos with Lou Malnati's taking a very close second. Home Run Inn is great but never had deep dish from them.

Heads22
Casey's General Store. It's not deep dish, and it's not in Chicago, but it is delicious.

SoxAce
My two favorite: Itailian Fiesta and Waldo Cooney's. (Slav, you know what I'm talkin bout. ) Capri's Pizza is up there too and so is Bob n Jacks. As far as on this list.. Pizzaria Uno I would have to say.
Gene Honda Civic
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 6, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) They have pizza in Iowa? Yeah, and if you stop in at 6AM, they'll probably have one with eggs and sausage spinnin around in the display case.
jackie hayes
Lou's, but Giordano's is great too. Then Gino's East, but it's definitely a cut below those two. Home Run Inn slots in that 2nd level, as well. The original Uno's/Due's aren't bad, but there's less cachet value there -- everyone thinks they've been to Uno's. With any of these, try to go to one of the older establishments in the chain. The newer ones are sometimes equally good, but it's a bit more hit-or-miss. LosMediasBlancas
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 5, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) Archer and California in Brighton Park. Similar to Home Run Inn without being overpriced. That's the one. The place and the service aren't all that great, but the pizza is kick ass and very reasonably priced. We make a trip over there a few times a year for it. DePloderer
Thank you all, Lou Malnati's it is then. Now then, does Lou Mitchell's on W Jackson Blvd realy serve the best breakfast ( I think it's in walking distance from our hotel, The Palmer House )? ChWRoCk2
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 5, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) For Chicago style thick: 1. Eduardo's 2. Lou Malnati's 3. Uno's For thin crust/cracker crust: 1. Barnaby's 2. Jake's Other: 1. Home Run Inn makes a medium thickness, buttery heart-clogging cheese-laden disaster of a pizza, and it tastes REALLY good. 2. Pequod's Eduardos is some damn good stuff, I think Lous and Giordanos goes for a tie, Barnabys is also good thin crust probably the best. Rex Hudler
Two former managers of Eduardos own a local place down here in Hoover (burb of Birmingham). They serve up a pretty mean deep dish, as good as the big boys in Chicago.

Texsox
As a tourist, the best thing to do is hit either of the two vote leaders. They are the standard bearers of the art, and you will have had a Chicago style deep dish pizza. My preference is Lou's sausage, eaten with a knife and fork. Everyone will find a pie they like better, but if you can have just one, go with one of those two. LMAO, I knew this had to be pizza by the title. jackie hayes
I'm having some Lou's out of the freezer tonight. Bada bing. I worship Lou's, but, at the one I usually go to they've been cutting down on the amount of sausage on a pizza. They'll put the old wheel-of-sausage on it if you ask, but you have to ask now. Anyone else find this? Too many High-Rise Men in the city, complaining about beautiful, glorious cholesterol...
Phuck the Cubs
I don't like Lou Malnatti's deep dish. If they didn't top it w/ tomato, it'd be perfect. His brother is also a teacher at New Trier
