Jim Spencer
There was a story at MILB.com about it too. I'm guessing the SCAB umps let the game get out of control
GoodAsGould
How hard is it to ump..... these guys seem wretched.
YASNY
Wilder, who attended the game, said he would complain to Southern League commissioner Don Mincher about the umpiring. I wonder if that's the ex-Twin 1B.
BHAMBARONS
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 8, 2006 -> 01:59 AM) I wonder if that's the ex-Twin 1B. Yep, I have been on the replacement umps side but this incident should have been seen a mile away. Corey Smith was 8-15 against Jacksonville with 2 homers after being signed. Rex Hudler
QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 9, 2006 -> 01:57 AM) Yep, I have been on the replacement umps side but this incident should have been seen a mile away. Corey Smith was 8-15 against Jacksonville with 2 homers after being signed. Yet, if he would have shut his mouth and not popped off, pointing the bat at the pitcher, none of that crap would have happened.
