SSH2005
Can someone admit it was lack of control and not getting squeezed that got him into this trouble? I know i am not the only one that realizes a ball at the letters in not a strike... yet everyone has said otherwise today. I hope to hell that no one said he was getting squeezed. Half of his pitches seemed to be knuckleballs that he lost grip of and flew way high and outside.

fathom
Lets all hope McCarthy can give us 3 strong innings tonight, and become an option to start if Contreras is out longer than expected.

Heads22
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) Note to the Sox: 1.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer at the Cell. 2.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer with horrible walk rates in the minors. 3.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer when you don't have a catcher that can catch a knuckleball. You left out: 4.) It's still not OK to call up Tim Redding.

SSH2005
The first bad inning since Friday night....and what happens on the boards? Well, it's only a bad inning because we are pitching a guy who normally wouldn't even be on the team. I'm sure the game would be different if Contreras was pitching.
