Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 06:13 PM) Come on Charlie, let's get through these first few guys with no walks this time. You're asking too much now. Not every pitching prospect walks less than 6 batters in their first outing.

WHarris1
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) Green? No, but if you actually gave Haeger or any Sox rookie a chance you might see some of these pitches are borderline. It's not a problem really. You just have to play and let things take care of themselves. Rookie pitchers don't get close calls against proven MLB hitters. Tough s*** for Haeger. He wants to pitch in a major league rotation one day, he can't have even half of these walk totals. Considering hit totals will likely be present for him (as well as any knuckleballer) and it's difficult to hold runners, issuing free passes isn't very conducive to winning. Rookie pitchers don't get close calls against proven MLB hitters. And umps get crossed up by knuckleballers just as much as catchers. Who the hell cares. If we lose this, we lose it because our offense has 0 hits.
