jamalmanburg
watching here in la. Normally, I get a fifty fifty chance of getting hawk and dj on the mlb cable package, but when we play the angels I get stuck with these tool bags. I can't stand hearing these guys yammer on and on, especially when the angels have a lead. They're still talking about AJ running to first during the alcs. Pardon me while I barf all over my keyboard. Can't wait til we're done with these guys.

fathom
QUOTE(JimH @ May 11, 2006 -> 03:08 AM) The White Sox pitch calling continues to lean heavily toward outside. Jenks got hurt on two pitches out over the plate although Rivera did a good job on his double, not too bad of a pitch there. IMO they are not busting guys inside enough. I've noticed that the Sox are trying to get Jenks to get two fastballs over for strikes, and then throw the hook to try and get the K. The problem with that is his fastball is short a few mph, and hitters are making good contact.
WHarris1
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 10, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) Key word: "this year" Right because this year is such a great sample size? What tells the story better? 14 innings this year or 153 career innings? Edited May 11, 2006 by WHarris1

fathom
We've been giving up a lot of base runners in the 9th inning over the last few weeks. Luckily, there's only been one blown save in that time.

greg775
You Ozzie critics make me SICK!!! Forever past and forever more the manager most often gets the blame. Don't let it bother you so much. That's where we got the words armchair QBs and second guessing. In my mind it's the fault of whoever wanted to pitch the knuckleballer. Gimmick pitch. Sucks.
