WinningUgly85
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?i...ce=MLBHeadlines House in South Carolina to be museum Associated Press GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Baseball fans will soon get an inside look at Shoeless Joe Jackson, one of the game's most-storied players. The home of the former Chicago White Sox star outfielder and Greenville native will open Friday prior to the Drive's Eastern League game against Hickory. It was moved to a site near the stadium in early April. The opening will be featured as part of a series on The Learning Channel in July. It followed the turning of Jackson's home into a baseball museum. The show will feature the home's owner, developer Richard C. Davis, who was on the A&E series "Flip This House." Crews were working late Thursday to finish the renovations on the 1,000-square-foot home. The rooms will feature pictures and some of Jackson's memorabilia, which will be permanent fixtures in the museum later this summer. "We will open it to the public just [Friday]," Davis said. "Then it will officially open in July, Shoeless Joe Month." Davis said a foundation will be set up to operate the museum. Jackson is among the eight White Sox players involved in a conspiracy to fix the 1919 World Series. Those eight, who are known as the "Black Sox," were banned from baseball for life. Jackson died in Greenville in 1951.
