Phuck the Cubs
meh.. to each his own. He's not bothering me. Plus, I think sox fans who grow up in or around chicago have a different perspective on the cub hate than sox fans from different parts of the country or world for that matter. Sox fans in chicago have to go to school, work with, live with and most importantly deal with cub fans every breathing day of our lives. So if he needs to lash out, what better place than a white sox message board? I have never been in his shoes, so he may have reasons that he compiled over his life to add to the core of his hate towards the Cubs and their fans. I know I have my reasons. Yeah, I deal with so many f***ing stupid Cubs fans at school. They're stupid, rude, dumb, and obnoxius.

DBAHO
I expected more out of Eric Bedard so far. Looks like the Mazzone effect hasn't quite kicked in in Baltimore yet. Daniel Cabrera as well. Jeff Weaver hasn't been good at all in Anaheim. Nor has Joe Blanton in Oakland.

hammerhead johnson
QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 15, 2006 -> 04:12 AM) I know it's your opinion, so I'm just gonna say I agree with basically everyone listed except this kid. Barely his first FULL year in the bigs and he's on a list with alot of quality pitchers who have been in the league for years? I don't agree with Blanton and Duke eigher, even though Blanton is worse right now. I'll take Duke and King Felix's era over say the others right now. Sheets, Burnett have got to be on there. And like another poster said, Oliver Perez has so much friggin potential and GREAT stuff, yet he can't even get a good era in the bigs (1 good year.) Man you talk about a waste of talent. With Sheets and Burnett, the sample size is just way too small, so I didn't even consider them. I know that Felix is young and all, but consider these splits: Home: (2.55 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, .211 BAA) Road: (7.98 ERA, .218 WHIP, .369 BAA) Without the benefit of Safeco, he's back in the minors by now. QUOTE(knightni @ May 15, 2006 -> 06:20 AM) Randy Johnson... maybe? He's a strong contender for the Top 10. He still has a respectable WHIP (1.31) and a decent BAA (.265). His strikeouts are WAY down. I honestly didn't expect much coming into this year just based on his age (43). QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:27 AM) I expected more out of Eric Bedard so far. Looks like the Mazzone effect hasn't quite kicked in in Baltimore yet. Daniel Cabrera as well. That Baltimore rotation is scary bad. Bruce Chen is arguably the worst starter in the majors. hammerhead johnson
Danny Haren had a masterful start in New York on Sunday afternoon. He pitched a CG, and he only gave up one run on six hits and no walks. His overall numbers as of now: (4.40 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, .259 BAA) He had a 5.00+ ERA in 48 IP going into this game. Zach Duke had another bulls*** start (against the Marlins), so he currently stands alone in the 10 slot. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) I'd say Josh Towers ~ Bruce Chen. LOL, you're right. If you look at their numbers, they appear to be the same pitcher. Towers (8.45 ERA, 1.85 WHIP, .351 BAA, 20K/38IP) Chen (8.42 ERA, 1.90 WHIP, .359 BAA, 18K/31IP)

My comment to Cuck was meant as friendly advice. thats fine... I do However, have the opinion that the city rivalry has never been more intense then last 10 years due to Interleague play. You see it where ever you go in Chicago; Comercials, advertisements, clothes, just listen to the audience BOO wars on Conan when ever anything baseball related was mentioned. Im sure sox fans living in the city the last 10 years can relate, because I sure can. It really is not a rivalry in a team sense but it is a fan rivalry. Im sure cuck would agree with me, its not the team itself we dislike, its the fans.

If you are going to hate the cubs and/or their fans, it should go 1 Rooting for the sox 2 hating the cubs. Cuck really seems to have that rule mixed up and that is what he has going against him. RockRaines
On my personal list I would have Ben Sheets as well. His .325 BAA is atrocious. Luckily Capuano is carrying a nice load for the Brew Crew. 2.83 ERA 1.04 WHIP .214 BAA Edited May 15, 2006 by RockRaines
