Dick Allen
This could be big trouble for the big guy. Since he was out on bail on a felony charge of stalking his current charge could make him ineligible for bail. I think he's going to the pokey for a while. WCSox
I hope that Thome is able to break his club records from '98. It'd be great to not have to see "Albert Belle" when perusing the Sox record book.

WCSox
QUOTE(Texsox @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) He did play his ass off that season. He played like crap until about June and then went on an absolute tear. I've never seen a hot streak like that since.

Didn't he beat up his girlfriend with a phone, or am confusing him with another degenerate pro athlete?
Dick Allen
Didn't Albert get married fairly recently? If he did, I'm guessing he's headed for a or break up if it isn't already. Edited May 18, 2006 by Dick Allen
RibbieRubarb
QUOTE(WCSox @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) Interestingly, that was right around the time that he got hit with the domestic abuse charge. Didn't he beat up his girlfriend with a phone, or am confusing him with another degenerate pro athlete? I believe that was Will Cordero
hammerhead johnson
Police went to the Cordero apartment after receiving a 911 hang-up from the address at about 1:30 a.m. When the call was returned, the man who answered would not let the dispatcher talk to a woman who could be heard screaming in the background. That prompted police to send officers to the scene. They found Ana Cordero crying and hyperventilating with her nose bleeding and her husband shirtless, shoeless and "very angry," Tierney said. After feeding the baby and putting her to bed, Ana Cordero told the officers that her husband had gone drinking after Tuesday's games, which ended at about 11:30 p.m. When he got home they quarreled, and he poked her in the chest, slapped her face, threatened to kill her and hit her on the head with a phone when she tried to call police.
