Need your thoughts & prayers...

this morning my grandpa took a really bad spill out in his garage. he's stubborn and doesn't like to get help when he needs it so attempted to put some boxes in garage rafters by himself (he's 75-76 yrs old). he wound up falling about 7 ft hitting the concrete floor and his side hitting the landing. at first he refused to go to hospital so my grandma called me and my dad to let us know what happened and to talk him into going. when we got there he was of course limping around and his elbow/forearm was swollen to about the size of 3 baseball's lined up in a row. stayed with my grandma (onset of alzheimers among other things) while dad took him to er. just got back a lil while ago, turns out he broke 4 ribs, his elbow, collapsed a lung--had to have chest tube inserted and inflated, blood in his urine & dangerously high blood sugar & pressure. as i speak he's being taken from lincoln to a larger hospital in springfield. looks like for sure right now the elbow needs operated on and waiting on tests & results for other things. to say the least he's in quite a bit of pain. please kinda keep him in your thoughts and prayers over the next couple of days...

thanks guys.

just got a quick update. found out he broke all 7 ribs on the right side, not just 4. and i misspoke earlier, his blood pressure is low not high (guess there's a big difference :) ) so docs are worried about some internal bleeding somewhere. through all this though he's awake and alert and even joking at times, so thats a good sign...
