I just got back and have a couple observations. First, Barrett is blocking the plate, if its going to be a close play he should expect to get hit. Secondly, the umpires were fools not to immediately eject Barrett, letting him do a tough guy walk around the infield, and letting him catch Hill's warm-up tosses. If the exact opposite happened at the dump on the Northside, and AJ threw the punch and was able to stick around for a while, the idiots would have littered the field with garbage. Finally, Anderson's involvement was nice to see. Hopefully this with be a springboard for him. I'm sure he feels he belongs now more than ever before, and as a Pod's basher, I was quite impressed with his efforts getting right in the middle of everything. Barrett is a punk.

During the slo-mo, while Pods and Barrett are tangled up and falling to the ground, Anderson suddenly flies into the picture from the left and throws a punch with his right hand that grazes Barrett's face as he is tumbling down. Look for his white batting glove connect with Barrett's head while he is dropping. He continues to fly out of the picture after this happens. That is just funny as hell.

All this reminds me of is in 2004, when burke got ran over.

While we all complained that it was unneccesary, we all wished we had someone on our team that would make that play for us.

Thanks for being that guy AJ.

I'm really proud of scott and brian for immediately backing him up too.

WTF

Barrett was right on the plate, it was 100% necessary. Burke gave Hunter the entire plate.

Misunderstood what i'm saying.

When was the last time a sox player plowed someone over?

Definitely never saw it in a few years ago.

Just returned home from perhaps the most enjoyable game I've witnessed all year. Anyone notice Derrek Lee running out of the dugout, too? It was hilarious. If he ever had to land a punch someone would have been in the hospital.

Everyone with an observant eye should fault Barrett for overreacting. When you take into account his history with chirping at the plate and aggitating the opposition this should come as no surprise. He claims Pierzynski nudged him--which he did, slightly--but that was an unintentional act to retrieve a batting helmet. Hope a suspension is worth it.

You'd think next time AJ comes to bat when Barrett is catching there will

be trouble. I mean AJ got slugged in the face with no warning.

Am I the only one who feels like this thing is over? I don't forsee any hard feelings between Barrett and AJ, they've done camps together and s***, they're sort of friends.

I expect tomorrow's game to be pretty docile ( that is unless Zambrainless decides to start some s*** ). The real fun begins when we go to Wrigley next month. That has the potential to get UGLY!!

Which team has the inferiority complex now?

:lolhitting

Especially Barrett. In a Cubpoganda public relations event this past offseason, where Cubs players visited a hospital, Barrett was asked by media what he thought of the Sox winning the World Series. He responded by saying he took offense that the Sox had a parade marching on what he called "our streets."
