Jose Canseco on OTLN

Man did anyone else watch his interview on outside the lines tonight? That man has some issues. He started making fun of the interview guy ( forgot his name ) because he wasnt an athlete, he said he was the best athlete in the world at one point. He also went off on this huge tangent about how badly minorities get treated in baseball. He said if it was mcgwire or ripken who had this happen and not sosa, that it would get covered up. How the f*** would it get covered up? Then he was promoting his book a little bit too.

Canseco's a moron. If McGwire or Ripken corked their bats and it shattered all over the field, they too would be busted. This Sosa deal is being covered up. They didn't even take the bats they checked until the 4th inning. MLB probably called the Cubs and told them to get the other corked bats out of the clubhouse, and probably told Sosa how to explain it. The fact that most of the general public believes Sosa's explanation is appaling, Watch how light his suspension will be, I wouldn't doubt if it is shorter than Bartolo's 5 game. Ridiculous.

They may not have "told" them, but certainly afforded them the opportunity to get the offending bats the hell out of there. Basically I agree with you, MLB will be more concerned with image than the truth.

That's BS about the racism against Sosa though.    Everyone I know loves Sosa and he's seen as the biggest teddy bear in the league. No way is their racism against him.

agreed very much.

The bat broke open on the field in a game for all the world to see. That cannot be ignored.

Bo Jackson was 10 times the athlete Canseco could ever have DREAMED of being.

Bo would have run, hit, and threw circles around Jose.

If Bo's hips hadn't gone to hell, he could have been a HoF baseball or football player....which ever one he chose to do full-time. He just did both, and I assume that was the main reason his hips got f***ed up.

I've seen footage of Bo doing both sports....obviously...and I won't forget 4 things about Bo.

1) Him running into the tunnel after his touchdown

2) Him running over Bosworth(?) or whoever that big linebacker was that played for the Seahawks

3) Him running up the wall on his catch

4) His homer in his first at bat back

Didn't he also make a throw an incredible throw once upon a time as well?

Bo Jackson - best athlete ever

Him running into the tunnel after his touchdown

Don't think anybody had ever done anything like that before.

Him running over Bosworth(?) or whoever that big linebacker was that played for the Seahawks

HUGE hype coming into that game. Some people though Bosworth could stop Bo -- they were wrong, and the whole world got to see it on MNF.

Him running up the wall on his catch

That was simply UNREAL.

His homer in his first at bat back

Made even more spectacular by the fact that he promised his dying mother that his first hit in his comeback would be for her. Definitely one of the most emotional sports moments I've ever seen.

Of, several times. He threw flat-footed from pretty deep RF once and NAILED a guy trying to go from 2B to 3B on a flyball. Also a time when he was playing against the Sox, and Fisk hit a shot deep to LF and it was over Bo's head. He made a great play just to get there, bounced off the wall, and threw a 1-hopper to George Brett at 1B to double off Ventura.

Bo Jackson - best athlete ever

No arguments here.
