SouthSidePride05
It could be. The rest of the season could easily be sellouts. We've had 5 consecutive sellouts, tonight is a sellout, and the next homestand begins with a weekend series (should sell out), then Detroit comes to town, and then summer is in full effect. Dick Allen
I stil think sec. 557 row 20 seat 14 is still a tough ticket to sell when the Sox take on certain teams. I really doubt they will sell out the rest of the way, but at least lack of attendance isn't an issue anymore.

Nice thought, though.

GoSox05
not sold out. But its hard to get any good seats for any games in june. Its seem like every team is divison rival or the cardnials and Astros.

Its seem like every team is divison rival or the cardnials and Astros. There is a way, but it's a little chancey. VIP tickets, (the ones that are behind home plate in between both dugouts) are also the ones that brokers sell.Whatever the brokers don't sell, go back to US Cellular. They are in fact able to sell those at the box office ONLY on the day on which the game is played on. The Cell, then has to sell them at face value. The chancey part is, be at the box office early.....as soon as it opens up, Ask for best of.....for todays game, and if any VIP tickets are available. On Franks Monday return game, that's how I got my ticket. along with others that I talked to that were in my row. I was fortunate to be in Sec 133 Row 25 (BEHIND Home Plqate). Granted, they are not always available, but it has worked for me 3 times in the last few years. Mondays game had 39,000 plus in attendance, and was sold out when trying to get tickets on line or over the phone........but yet......the box office still had the VIP's! I wanted to post a few photos in another forum from where I sat, but the day that my computer/photo imaging skills ever get to the point where I don't drive all the admins nuts, is the day that Paul Konerko and Cecil Fielder outruns Scott Podsednik and Carl Crawford and in a relay race. If your reading this guys......sorry for all of the hassels. Don't mean to be a pain.

The tickets spread out from 129 to 135 are friends and family tickets that are reserved for the Sox and the visiting team and if they aren't used then they are released for sale to the public. SouthSidePride05
I went to the game on May 9th, which had 36,000, and the last 12 rows directly behind home plate were all empty. We had UD tickets, visited the Fundamentals deck for the 7th inning, and then for the 8th and 9th sat directly behind home plate in row 15. We sat in the middle of the row instead of on the aisle so no ushers would ask to see our tickets. Good times!! WCSox
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 24, 2006 -> 10:01 AM) On a related note, I need give credit to the ticket sales staff with the Sox. Do they still have the policy where you can exchange tickets from games that are either cancelled or severely delayed due to rain/cold for another game later in the season? I imagine they might not now because of the higher attendance. I took advantage of it for the '03 home opener and another game back in '98 where there was only like a one-hour rain delay and temperatures in the 50's. The people in the ticket office were always incredibly cool about it. Edited May 24, 2006 by WCSox

QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ May 24, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try when my parents visit in June; I wanna impress them. How much are the VIP tix? Not sure, but I believe that they are a few bucks more than a lower deck box ticket that is scheduled for that game. Remember...the more premium the game, the more the ticket, and harder to come by. That's why I suggest getting there and waiting for the box office to open early in the morning if you want to better your chances.

Thanks Steff for clearing that up for me. I guess the person that told me about this a few years back either misquoted me, or wasn't sure himself how it worked as well. Also thanks for letting me know the section numbers on this as well. I wasn't real clear on that either.

Chisoxfn
I'm in the process of heading in during early July and looking up tickets there are pretty much no lowers for some of the games in the Bmore series and obviously Boston is sold out. There are tons of people selling tickets at the park for less than face. Good seats. If you go to gate 5 and head to the ticket windows there, non pro scalpers are looking to unload extras. You will land a good deal. I think because of record ticket sales, if a game is postponed, the make-up date is the only one the ticket for the postponement is good for. The bad weather free tickets aren't happening this year.
